Before we move any further, i would like to point out a few methods of earning online which i didn't mention in the previous two posts, and which i wouldn't recommend. I am writing them just to give you more choice. The following methods are good for people who are looking for just some extra income, and don't plan to earn a lot of money. However, following them isn't a great dea if-

1. you plan to keep increasing your earning potential.

2. you want to do something that not only puts some money in your pockets, but also a smile on your lips at the end of the day.

3. you are not happy with a small income that you have few chances of increasing.

So let's start off with the various methods.

PTC

Probably the most popular and most talked about, PTCs(Paid To Click) are the easiest way to make money on the net. All you have to do is click on a few ads, refer some friends, and you are done! The advantages of PTCs include-

1. you don't have to have ANY skills at all to earn.

2. if you know how to refer active users, you can earn hundreds of dollars per month.

3. the "job" is quite easy. No sweat!

The disadvantages are-

1. It is quite difficult to earn a decent income throough PTCs. You would be lucky to cross the $50 mark even after a month of hard work.

2. Quite a waste of your time. You could have spent your time doing something creative or worthwhile, like setting up your own site for instance.

3. Easy to get scammed by the numerous fake sites out there.

So now you have your decision made easier. If you are good at referring people, or are ready to buy some referrals, you could try to earn from PTCs. Otherwise, they are a bad idea.

Forums

There are very few of these out there, but with a comprehensive search, you could find some forums that pay you to post. However, i have seen quite a few of them go down without being able to pay their users. This happens not because of some carefully thought out plan to scam their users, but rather for a lack of sufficient income from advertisements. It seems users that are posting just don't want to click on the ads. As a result, the owners don't get much money themselves. This should also be a point to note if you were planning to start such a forum yourself.

However, there are quite a few sites which have been running for a long time, and in all probablity will continue to do so for many more years. But like PTCs, forums too have a nasty habit of underpaying their users. Again , most of your income will be from referrals.

Data Entry

These are the jobs that sound easy, and promise a lot of money. A job-seekers dream! The truth is quite far from the ads though. While it is true that Data Entry jobs are quite easy compared to other work, and do pay you well, it is easy to be scammed. Besides, the "easy work" is quite tedious, and you have to be careful not to make any mistakes. Also, some some sites reuire you to make some investment.

Like the above mentioned methods, these kinds of jobs too rob you of your creative time. You really have to ask yourself whether you are ready to waste your time typing away.

So, i guess, that's it. The three most popular methods to earn online, yet three of the worst. I have lined out the advantages and disadvantages of all the methods, and now it is upto you to decide whether you really want to go in for them. Your First Site

In this article, i will tell you the basics of setting up an average site to generate money from advertisements. Keep in mind that the following tipcs are, in no way, the guidelines to setting up a great website that will get you millions of visitors per day! They are only tips on what you can use on your website, so that you don't have to work hard, and yet can generate money from ads.

important: keep watching the future articles. i will soon be writing on how to generate maximum revenue from a website.

STEP 1: setting up a website

If you are new to the web-world, you might be aprehensive about setting up a site. Especially if you don't know much about HTML or CSS, even though the knowledge of these languages is no longer mandatory to set up a good website.

You might want to start off with a free site for a few weeks, just to get things started. These include, mainly, blogs like this one.

Otherwise, if you are ready to invest some time, you could start off with a free .co.cc domain.

You can use tools like Kompozer to help you with the web pages themselves. such tools invariably make your job easier. And you still won't need any kowledge of HTML!

STEP 2: getting content

ok, so that was the easy part. Now you have a website, but nothing in it. That isn't going to get you any visitors! And no, Google won't allow any ads on such a site, in case you were wondering...

The next question is....how do you get some meaningful content in it?

I am assuming you alrezady have some basic idea of what kind of content you want. You would have required this idea even while setting up the domain name. So now you know what you want, but you don't know how.....

The easiest way would be to get free content from the net. You could go to Google and search for "free articles". This will get you a lot of articles that you can put on your website, without paying a penny to anyone! Just make sure you credit the original author for every article, and provide back-links if required. Don't try to pass off other's work as your own.

Another good way would be to post non-coppyrighted material like old books/poems on your site. Just make sure they aren't copyrighted.

But wait, what if YOU didn't have to write anything at all?!? You could allow your members to do all the work for you! One way would be to start something similar to a discusion forum. This way, all the writing work is done by your users! However, keep in mind that users of discussion forums don't generally click on ads, so that might decrease your revenue.

STEP 3: getting visitors

great! so now you have a site, and the site has some good content on it! and if you are wise enough, you already have ads posted all over it! But they are no good if no one clicks on them right? And who will click on the ads if no one visits your site? Tough question huh?

The tougher question is....How can you get visitors on your site?

The easiest answer would be link exchange. You go to sites hosting similar content, and ask them to post a link to your site. In return you would have to do the same of course. This way, you get "free advertisement", because at the moment, your site doesn't have any visitors, but the sites with which you have exchanged links do! So their members see a link to your site, and they might just give it a go!

The best part about link exchange is that the more sites host your link, the higher your rankings get in google as well! so instead of the last page, your site comes within the fitst ten pages when a user searches for keywords related to your site. Pretty cool huh?

Another way would be advertising. Yes, it is not cheap. But the publicity will be well worth it, if you know where to advertise. (that is another article in itself)

You could also tell your friends. By friends, i don't mean your neighbourhood chums. They are no good when it comes to getting publicity. What you need to do is get onto those forums you had been active in earlier, or get onto some social networking site, and spread the word! This is easier said than done though. If your "friends" aren't friendly enough, you might face some objections for "blatant advertising"> Take care not to offend anybody, and never to post repeatedly about your site.....

So there you have it! a site, some content, and visitors!

I haven't really told you anything about the ads themselves, but i am sure you can figure out adsense by yourself at the moment. And i have already put up an important note before the article.....

OK guys, time to get serious! It is now time to start learning how to earn real money. I won't promise you any shortcuts. My blog description speaks for itself. If you want to get your hands on some real hard cash, you need to get your hands dirty first. I know some sites will tell you that the web-world is all hunky-dory. that making thousands of dollars per month is easier than a qwalk in the park. But believe me, it is not everyone's cup of tea....

What i aim to do in this blog, starting from this article, is to make the way easier for you, so you don't get scammed. Read all articles very carefully, and you can be sure of some added income every month.

A more of a long term strategy for making money online, is to establish a web site that will continually grow in size and build up a membership base over time... whether that be paid subscribers, content providing or video entertainment.Running a niche product content blogs are one of the easiest ways to set up a new web site, which can focus on individual products or services that you sell. Based on your blog content, you would receive free search traffic and people interested in the product.

If you can provide a content service or something that brings people back to your site often, you have a winner. Earnings are determined by the exposure you receive from your content. Some people need fresh content on a regular basis and if you can provide that content then you can cater to your market for as long as you can come up with the content.

However to offset this downside, if all of your content is always available to all members your site will become more and more valuable as time goes on and you produce more and more. Most of you might have heard of the various ways you can make money on the net, with zero investments from your side, and assured rewards.

For those who haven't, this article can be useful as a beginner's guide.

1.the various ways

There are multiple ways to earn easy money on through the net. all you need is a computer and an internet connection. Honest! Below are some of the ways your can earn money-

a. PTP sites

PTP sites, or Pay to Post sites, are those that pay you participate in the discussions on that site. The more you post there, the more revenue they generate from advertisers. so they figure that giving a part of the money back to you is probably the best way to keep you coming back for more. Most of the sites also pay you more if you refer your friends. The system is known as the referral system. These sites aren't the fastest way to make money though, and the only way you have hope to earn a sizable income from them is by getting as many referrals as possible. the average member would earn only about $8 in most of the famous sites.

A TIP-new sites often pay more to attract new members, yet some of the new sites are unable to make payments because they do not earn enough. So joining newly launched sites is risky, but the rewards are worth it

b.PTC sites

PTC, or Pay to Click sites, are those that pay you to view advertisements through their sites and click on them. They pay you a part of the money they get from their sponsors. Again, this is not the Fastest way to get rich. most sites pay 1 cent per click, and with a normal payout of about $10, you are going to have to work hard to earn anything at all. Here too, referrals are very useful.

A TIP-Always do a google search on a PTC site before joining. most of them are scams, and you will just waste your time. Also, be careful that the sites you visit don't install any adware/spyware on your PC.

c.Search sites

These are sites that pay you to use their search engines. But you can't just go on searching all day to earn revenue. They will immediately find out any foul play, and will disable your account when you are nearing payout. You are expected to use the results of the search you make. In other words, you are expected to forget google, and use their search engine.

d.competitions

You will find a lot of sites where they hold competitions and pay the winners. sometimes the payment is in the form of gift vouchers or movie tickets or other similar things. But who doesn't like freebies?

e.miscellaneous

Other methods through which you can earn with zero initial investments include filling out surverys, getting paid to receive ads in your e-mail, etc

2.Tips and Warnings

As with anything else, you would benefit a lot if you knew some basic things. here are some tips-

1.Follow all rules religiously. this might sound silly, but the sites have a way of knowing if you are even treading the line of any of the rules. most of them will ban you only when you are nearning payout, so that they don't lose the potential revenue

2.Remain active. this sounds very obvious. no site will pay you to simply register and then disappear

3.Get referrals. refer as many people as you can. even strangers. you could even use referral exchange.

4.do not open multiple accounts on any site. Even if there are two people, like you and your brother, who want to join, never join using the same computer.

5.Be ready for lots of spam. Many of the sites, esp. PTCs will be sending you lots of spams. thats a pricwe you have to pay for easy money

3.Risks

there are usually no risks involved. You don't need any initial investment. and you don't need to give out persoanl information, except for your paypal address....and you earn money sitting at home without investing anything! Quite appealing isn't it?
